Pasopati Fly Over

The part of Pasupati bridge, which crossing Cikapundung river is Cable-stayed type bridge, the bridge which sustained by one or more main span, and large cable for sustain main part of bridge.
If it see from cable's hook at main span, the bridge is included in Harp type. So because the tipping point locations is scattered, not at one point at top of the span like the fan type.
If it see from number and shape of cable's hook at two sides of span which is asymmetric (West part:2*5=10, East part 1*9=9), So the bridge is classified as Asymmetrical Harp type.

Sate Building

Gedung Sate Bandung is the first building that uses concrete bony construction, is also building institutions of governance Dutch Colonial Center. Called Gedung Sate, the roof-shaped ornaments thrust sate. Now, this building became the center pemerintahah Governor of West Java. It is one of the landmark buildings of Bandung and has become an icon for the city. Designed and built in 1920, by architect J. Gerber.
Building on the north, there is a field Gasibu and People's Struggle Monument. Area Gasibu People's Struggle Monument and will look very busy on Sunday, because in the two locations near this always be a place for sport in the morning. In addition to use as sports facilities, both locations are often used as places of music, art and culture and other activities.
Gedung Sate literally means 'Satay Building'. The name is a reference to the metal spike on the roof which reminded Iocals of a satay skewer. For anyone interested in architecture, it is one of the most unmissable sights in Java. It was an innovative design in 1920 for a number of reasons. It was the first building in Indonesia to use reinforced concrete technology. Artistically, it was even more significant. It was one of the first buildings to combine Indonesian and European styles of architecture to create the 'Indo-Deutsch' style. It has a tiered, wooden roof, like a Javanese mosque. The main motif on the front of the building is a stylised Javanese temple. The extensive use of dark timber for the roofing is a conscious reference to local architectural styles. Yet the brilliant white of the main structure with its bold arches mark it out as very much a Dutch building. Gedung Sate is impressive in both its huge scale and also in its attention to small details. The window niches and the wooden eaves both feature beautiful and intricate decoration. Any lover of architecture should not miss this building.

Angklung (Traditional Instrumental)

Angklung is the musical instrument originated from Indonesia, angklung is used and played by the Sundanese since the ancient times. In Hindu period and Padjajaran kingdom era, Sundanese people used the angklung to sign the time for prayer. Later, Padjajaran kingdom use this instrument as corps music in Bubat War (versus Majapahit kingdom). Angklung functioned as building the peoples community spirit. It was still used by the Sundanese until the colonial Dutch East Indies (V.O.C) era. Because of the colonial times, the Dutch East Indies government tried to forbid people playing the angklung instrument.

Angklung made out of two bamboo tubes attached to a bamboo frame. The tubes are carved so that they have a resonant pitch when struck. The two tubes are tuned to octaves. The base of the frame is held with one hand while the other hand shakes the instrument rapidly from side to side. This causes a rapidly repeating note to sound. Thus each of three or more angklung performers in an ensemble will play just one note and together complete melodies are produced. Angklung is popular throughout Southeast Asia.
The Angklung got more international attentionand respect when Daeng Soetigna, from Bandung West Java, expanded the angklung notations not only to play traditional pelog or slendro scales, but also diatonic scale in 1938. Since then, angklung is often played together with other western music instruments in an orchestra. One of the first well-known performances of angklung in an orchestra was during the Bandung Conference in 1955. A few years later, Udjo Ngalagena, a student of Daeng Soetigna, opened his Saung Angklung (House of Angklung) in 1966 as centre of its development.

Tangkuban Parahu Volcano

Tangkuban perahu is a volcano, 25 kilometers north of Bandung direction of Lembang. Its location is in between Sagalaherang village, Sagalaherang district, Subang regency and Cikole village, Lembang district, Bandung regency. This is Bandung's most famous tourist volcano just 28 km north of the city. This volcano offers many places to see and explore. Whether we look into the huge crater or hike down into it, stroll through the forest on its slopes, or simply enjoy the splendid panoramic scenery. Mt. Tangkuban Perahu is an interesting destination that everyone in the Bandung area is fond of visiting. When seen from Bandung, Mt. Tangkuban Perahu has a distinctive shape, like an upside down boat. Tangkuban Perahu means, in fact, "up-turned boat" This peculiar shape has stimulated the fantasy of the Sundanese people from early times as expressed in the Legend of Sangkuriang.

Bandung Paris van Java

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 19.57 0 comments

Bandung - Paris Van Java
“…and Bandung had become a point of attraction, more than that, at this time, I have to say its the capital of Asia and Africa”
Jawaharlal Nehru, 1955

Bandung, in the beginning, was accidentally discovered by Abraham van Riebeek in 1712, when he was searching for new resources and area for coffee plantation. When Herman Williem Daendels stuck his stick into the ground and ordered his men to build a city there, which now becomes the 0 point of Bandung, he had never imagined that that city he built had massively grown and become a historical city.
When the highway which connected Bandung and Batavia via Bogor and Cianjur was completed In 1810, the town centre of Bandung was moved from Krapyak, or Dayeuh Kolot today. That moment of history that had turned Bandung from a small, silent village into a big, popular city.
Bandung Paris van Java. Bandung is Paris of Indonesia. Its culture, its amazing beauty, its various great taste food, had made Bandung as a tourism destination place from all over the world.
RAA. Wiranata Kusumah II, he was the 1st Bupati of Bandung. He, together with Daendels, built the city of Bandung.

Bandung City of Flowers

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 19.30 0 comments
History Of Bandung (The Flower City) dates since 1488 as the first situation to Bandung existents. As from earliest archeological discoverss, we identify the bandung city was home to Australopithecus, Java Man. The Java Man lived on the sides of the Cikapundung in north Bandung, the Huge Lake of Bandung. The relics can still be found in the top of Dago area, the Geological Museum also has shows and parts of the skeletal remains and the artifacts.

The Sundanese People were a agricultural people, the rich regions of Bandung. They builded a dynamic tradition which comprises the practiced Wayang Golek doll/puppet theatre, and so many musical styles. As Juliaen de Silva wrote in her book in 1614 "There is a city called Bandung, comprising 25 to 30 houses."

The accomplishments of The adventurers from Europe to seek their luck in the productive and rich of Bandung area, led finally to 1786 as a road was developed connecting Bogor, Jakarta, Bandung, and Cianjur. This flow was enlarged since 1809. Louis Napoleon, the leader from the Netherlands, commanded Governor General H.W. Daendels, to strengthen defenses in Java in opposition to English. The idea was a sequence of military defense things and a source road between Cirebon and. However, this area was wet and swamp, and it was better to build the road of the further south, across the Priangan high lands.

Talking about the history of Bandung, we will remember the Big Post Road was built around 11 miles north of the (then called) capital of Bandung. With this usual brevitys, Daendels commanded the capital of Bandung to be re-located to the road. Bupati Wiranata Kusumah II chosen a site in the south of the road on the western side of the Lake Cikapundung, close a pair of blessed wells, Sumur Bandung, assumedly protected by the very old goddess Nyi Kentring Manik. On this site he built his palace and the Bandung city square (alun-alun). Go along the traditional orientations, Mesjid Agung (The Grand Mosque of Bandung) was built on the western side, and the big market on the east. His house and Pendopo (meeting place) was placed on the south facing of the mystical mountain of Tangkuban Perahu. Within the l9th Century, South American cinchona (quinine), Assam tea, and coffee was leaded to the uplands. At the end of the 19th century, Priangan (another called for Bandung) was listed as the most rich plantation place of the province. In 1880, the rail line that connecting Bandung and Jakarta was finished, and assured a 2 1/2 hour trip from the Jakarta to Bandung.

Tea Plantation

With this great modification in history of Bandung, cafes, hotels, shopping malls builded up to provide the planters who came down from the highland plantations or up from Bandung. The Concordia Society was developed and the large ballroom was the magnet for social meeting at the weekend activities in Bandung city. The Grand Hotel Preanger and the Savoy Homann Hotel were the best hotels of choice. The Braga street became the popular as there are many exclusive Europeans shops. *

With the railroad, light industry flourished. Once raw plantation crops were sent directly to Jakarta for shipment to Europe, now primary processing could be done efficiently in Bandung. The Chinese who had never lived in Bandung in any number came to help run the facilities and vendor machines and services to the new industries. Chinatown dates from this period.

Talking about History of Bandung, in the first years of the present century, Pax Neerlandica was proclaimed, resulting in the passing of military government to a civilian one. With this came the policy of decentralization to lighten the administrative burden of the central government. And so Bandung became a municipality in 1906.

Old Braga Street

Braga Street Now
This turn of events left a great impact on the city. City Hall was built at the north end of Braga to accommodate the new government, separate from the original native system. This was soon followed by a larger scale development when the military headquarters was moved from Batavia to Bandung around 1920. The chosen site was east of City Hall, and consisted of a residence for the Commander in Chief, offices, barracks and military housing.

By the early 20's the need for skilled professionals drove the establishment of the technical high school that was sponsored by the citizens of Bandung. At the same time the plan to move the capital of the Netherlands Indies from Batavia to Bandung was already mature, the city was to be extended to the north. The capital district was placed in the northeast, an area that had formerly been rice fields, and a grand avenue was planned to run for about 2.5 kilometers facing the fabled Tangkuban Perahu volcano with Gedung Sate at the south end, and a colossal monument at the other. on both sides of this grand boulevard buildings would house the various offices of the massive colonial government.

Along the east side of the Cikapundung River amidst natural scenery was the campus of the Technische Hoogeschool, dormitories and staff housing. The old campus buildings and its original landscaping reflect the genius of its architect Henri Maclain Pont. The southwestern section was reserved for the municipal hospital and the Pasteur Institute, in the neighborhood of the old quinine factory. These developments were carefully planned down to the architectural and maintenance details. These years shortly before World War II were the golden ones in Bandung and those alluded to today as Bandung Tempoe Doeloe.

The war years did little to change the city of Bandung, but in 1946, facing the return of the Colonial Dutch to Indonesia, citizens chose to burn down their beloved Bandung in what has become known as Bandung Lautan Api, Bandung Ocean of Fire. Citizens fled to the southern hills and overlooking the "ocean of flames" penned "Halo Halo Bandung," the anthem promising their return. Political unrest colored the early years of Independence and consequently people flocked to Bandung where safety was. The population skyrocketed from 230,000 in 1940 to 1 million by 1961. Economic prosperity following the oil boom in the 70's pushed this further so that by 1990 there were 2 million inhabitants.

Present day Bandung is thriving. As home to more than 35 schools of higher education, there is a vibrant collegiate atmosphere. The excellent fine arts offerings have produced an artist colony of great repute and excitement. The textile industry is the largest in the country and contributes to a vigorous business climate.

In 1987 the city extended its administrative boundaries toward a Greater Bandung Plan (Bandung Raya) Plans for the city include higher concentrations of development outside the current city centre, in an attempt to dilute some of the population density in the old core. These days Bandung Raya is still years ahead, yet the land has suffered deeply. Commercial activities run amok, God only knows who can take control. The city core is practically uprooted, old faces are torn down, lot sizes regrouped, and what was idyllic residence is now bustling chain supermarkets and rich banks.

1# kenangan selama hembusan nafasku, kan ku ingat selalu waktu pertama kita jumpa.

Penjelasan Bentuk Semesta Seperti Terompet Sebagai Sangkakala Saat Kiamat

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 08.59 0 comments

Jawabnya, “Sedang membersihkan terompetnya.”
Allahu Akbar.

7 Fakta Menarik Soal Payudara Wanita

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 17.04 0 comments

3. Payudara wanita rata-rata beratnya 0,5 kg

Payudara rata-rata beratnya sekitar 0,5 kilogram.

Hari jadi kita.
Memang sejak dulu aku menginginkan mempunyai kompas.
Terima kasih Ryvan Iskandar, I ♥ You! :)

Halestorm - Here's To Us Lyrics

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 18.11 0 comments

We could just go home right now
Or maybe we could stick around
For just one more drink, oh yeah
Get another bottle out
Lets shoot the shit
Sit back down
For just one more drink, oh yeah

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we fucked up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few days
Have kicked my ass
So lets give em hell
Wish everybody well
Here's to us
Here's to us

Stuck it out this far together
Put our dreams through the shredder
Let’s toast cause things got better
and everything could change like that
And all these years go by so fast
But nothing lasts forever

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we messed up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few nights
Have kicked my ass
If they give you hell
Tell em to go fuck themselves
Here's to us
Here's to us

Here's to all that we kissed
And to all that we missed
To the biggest mistakes
That we just wouldn’t trade
To us breaking up
Without us breaking down
To whatever's come our way

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we fucked up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few days
Have kicked my ass
So let's give em hell
Wish everybody well

Here's to us
Here's to love
All the times
That we messed up
Here's to you
Fill the glass
Cause the last few nights
Have kicked my ass
If they give you hell
Tell em to go fuck themselves
(Go fuck themselves)
Here's to us
Here's to us
Here's to us
Here's to us

Here’s to us
Here’s to love
Here’s to us (Wish everybody well)
Here’s to us
Here’s to love
Here’s to us

Here’s to us

Taylor Swift ft. The Civil Wars - Safe and Sound Lyric

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 18.07 0 comments

I remember tears streaming down your face
When I said, I'll never let you go
When all those shadows almost killed your light
I remember you said, Don't leave me here alone
But all that's dead and gone and passed tonight

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Don't you dare look out your window darling
Everything's on fire
The war outside our door keeps raging on
Hold onto this lullaby
Even when the music's gone

Just close your eyes
The sun is going down
You'll be alright
No one can hurt you now
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound

Just close your eyes
You'll be alright
Come morning light,
You and I'll be safe and sound

Mistress of The Game - Tilly Bagshawe

Posted by Lina Fiertine at 16.59 0 comments

Saya melihat Novel yang pertama berjudul Are You Afraid of The Dark?, dan setelah saya melihat novel yang kedua berjudul Mistress of The Game - kelnjutan Master of The Game. di dalam hati saya, "hah? Mistress of The Game? sejak kapan Master of The Game punya buku kedua? pengarangnya sudah lama sekali wafat." setelah melihat buku itu lebih teliti, ternyata pengarangnya adalah Tilly Bagshawe.

Dan ternyata tidak hanya Master of The Game yang ceritanya dia lanjutkan, Are  You Afraid of The Dark menjadi buku ke dua setelah Mistress of The Game laku di pasaran dengan judul After The Dark.
